JUNGLE YELLOW FEVER B r a z il . — Five fatal cases of jungle yellow fever were reported during May and June 1977 in an area of the Trans-Amazon highway in the State o f Para. The patients were all males between 30 and 50 years of age. Four of the cases were confirmed by histopatbological examination. The necessary control measures have been undertaken in the affected area.

FIÈVRE JAUNE DE BROUSSE B résil . — Cinq cas mortels de fièvre jaune de brousse ont été enregistrés en mai et juin 1977 au voisinage de la route transama­ zonienne dans l’Etat de Para. Il s ’agissait d ’hommes âgés de 30 à 50 ans. Quatre des cas ont été confirmés par examen histopatholo­ gique. Les mesures de lutte voulues ont été prises dans la zone infectée.
