SHIGELLA SURVEILLANCE C am eroon . — In 1971, the 107 strains of shigella isolated in the country revealed no substantial change in the endemicity o f shigellosis; Sh. fiexneri 4 continues to predominate, with 48 isolations. It is followed in order of frequency by Sh. fiexneri 2 (16 isolations), Sh. fiexneri 1 (15) and Sh. sonnei (10).

SURVEILLANCE D E S SHIGELLA C a m e r o u n . — En 1971, les 107 souches de shigella isolées dans le pays n ’ont mis en évidence aucun changement notable dans l'en­ démie de shigellose où Sh. fiexneri 4 continue à prédominer avec 48 isolements. Elle est suivie dans l’ordre de fréquence par S h . flex neri 2 (16 isolements), Sh. fiexneri l (15) et Sh. sonnei (10).
