PROPOSED PROGRAMME BUDGET 2012–2013 The Regional Committee, Having examined the draft Organization-wide Proposed Programme Budget 2012–20131 and the draft Proposed Programme Budget 2012–2013 of the Western Pacific Region2 to be financed from assessed contributions and voluntary contributions; Appreciating the presentation of the draft Organization-wide Proposed Programme Budget 2012–2013 and the draft Proposed Programme Budget 2012–2013 of the Western Pacific Region according to the principles of results-based budgeting; Commending regional efforts to more firmly base strategic and operational planning processes on the priorities of individual countries and the agreed collective regional technical agenda, and to improve accountability for clearer results within the framework of the Medium-term Strategic Plan, …/ 1 Annex 1 of document WPR/RC61/9. 2 Annex 2 of document WPR/RC61/9. APPRECIATES the comprehensive presentation by the Secretariat of the draft Organization- wide Proposed Programme Budget 2012–2013 and the draft Proposed Programme Budget 2012–2013 of the Western Pacific Region; 2. THANKS the Regional Director for his commitment to results-based budgeting and the continuous improvement of the presentation of the draft Proposed Programme Budget; 3. REQUESTS the Regional Director: (1) to convey to the Director-General the comments of the Regional Committee on the draft Organization-wide Proposed Programme Budget 2012–2013, so that these can be taken into consideration when the Programme Budget 2012–2013 is finalized by the Director- General; (2) to present to the Regional Committee, at its sixty-second session, a proposal for the Programme Budget 2012–2013 of the Western Pacific Region, taking into account comments by Member States and discussions at the sixty-first session of the Regional Committee, and resolutions of the 128th session of the Executive Board and the Sixty-fourth World Health Assembly.
