DENGUE FEVER SURVEILLANCE Brazil (21 May 1982). — Dengue fever has been confirmed in Boa Vista, the capital of Roraima Territory in the northern part of the country. So far the virus has been isolated from two cases and sero conversion to the virus was observed in three others. A high preval ence of flavi virus antibody suggestive of recent infection was found in other residents, especially in the central part of the town where Aedes aegypti was found in great numbers.
SURVEILLANCE DE LA DENGUE Brésil (21 mai 1982). — La présence de la dengue a été confirmée à Boa Vista, chef-lieu du Territoire de Roraima dans la partie septen trionale du Brésil. Jusqu’à présent, le virus a été isolé chez deux sujets et la séroconversion à l’égard du virus a été observée chez trois autres. Une forte prévalence d’anticorps anti-flavivirus laissant présumer une infection récente a été constatée chez d’autres habitants, notam ment au centre de la ville où l’on a découvert de grands nombres d 'Aedes aegypti.
