Use of the Regional Director's development programme (Resolution)

REPORT OF THE REGIONAL COMMITTEE 29 WPR/RC28.R9 USE OF THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR'S DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME The Regional Committee, Having examined the list of activities being financed in 1977 from the Regional Director's Development Programme and those proposed to be financed from the Programme in 1978 and 1979,1 1. NOTES with satisfaction that the Regional Director's Development Programme is being used in 1977 to intensify the expanded programme on immunization; 2. APPROVES the proposals for priority activities in 1978 and 1979; 3. REQUESTS the Regional Director to transmit the lists provided to the Director-General for the information of the Executive Board and the World Health Assembly. Sixth meeting, 12 September 1977 WPR/RC28.RlO RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION The Regional Committee, Noting that Miss Bernice Newton, Chief of Administration and Finance of the WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific, is retiring from the Organization after twenty-nine years of valuable and loyal service, seven of which were spent in the Regional Office for the Western Pacific; Recognizing the useful contributions she has made in increasing the efficient management of the Regional Office; EXPRESSES its deep appreciation to Miss Newton, and wishes her good health and happiness in her retirement.
