AIRCRAFT DISINSECTING In the Weekly Epidemiological Record No. 21 of 27 May 1977, notice was given of acceptance by the Thirtieth World Health Assembly to the addition of 2% d-phenothrin in propellent Freon 11 -f 12 (50: 50) without added solvents to existing approved aerosol insecticides for aircraft disinsection. The United States Environmental Protection Agency has recently approved the one-shot, break off tip aerosol containing the above formulation. In accordance with Annex VI of the Recommenda tions for the Disinsecting of Aircraft of the International Health Regulations (1969), Second Annotated Edition (1974), the formula tion is to be used a t the rate of 10 g/1000 cu. ft. (35 g/100 m3). In the notification, the US Environmental Protection Agency indicated the number of the above aerosol units required for various aircraft. DÉSINSECTISATION DES AÉRONEFS Le Relevé épidémiologique hebdomadaire N° 21 du 27 mai 1977 a annoncé que la Trentième Assemblée mondiale de la Santé avait accepté l’adjonction de 2% de d-phénothnne au gaz vecteur Freon 11 + 12 (50:50) sans addition de solvants dans les préparations déjà homologuées d ’aérosols insecticides pour désinsectisation des aéronefs. V Environmental Protection Agency (EPAJ des Etats-Unis d ’Amérique vient d’approuver une préparation d ’aérosol du type ci-dessus qu’émet un diffuseur à pointe bnsable à utiliser en une fois. Conformément à l’Annexe VI « Recommandations pour la désinsec tisation des aéronefs » du Règlement sanitaire international (1969), Deuxième édition annotée (1974), la préparation sera employée à raison de 35 g/100 m3 (10 g/1 000 pieds cubes). L ’EPA a indiqué le nombre de diffuseurs requis pour divers aéronefs.
