Special programme for research and training in tropical diseases : membership of the Joint Coordinating Board (Resolution)

REPORT OF THE REGIONAL COMMITTEE 27 WPR/RC39.R18 SPECIAL PROGRAMME FOR RESEARCH AND TRAINING IN TROPICAL DISEASES: MEMBERSHIP OF THE JOINT COORDINATING BOARD The Regional Committee, Noting that the period of tenure of the representative of the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam as a member of the Joint Coordinating Board of the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases expires on 31 December 1988~ 1. SELECfS the Government of China to send a representative to meetings of the Joint Coordinating Board for a period of three years from 1 January 1989 to 31 December 1991; 2. THANKS the representative of the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam for serving on the Board. Ninth meeting, 16 September 1988 WPR/RC39.R19 MEMBERSHIP OF TilE SUB-COMMIITEE ON PROGRAMMES AND TECHNICAL COOPERATION The Regional Committee, Noting that the periods of tenure as members of the Sub-Committee on Programmes and Technical Cooperation of the representatives of Australia, China, Cook Islands, Japan, Samoa and the United States of America end at the thirty-ninth session of the Regional Committee, 1. DECIDES: ( 1) to reduce the membership of the Sub-Committee from ten to eight, of which four shall carry out the country visit; (2) to appoint the representatives of Brunei Darussalam, Solomon Islands, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Vanuatu as members of the Sub-Committee for three years from the thirty-ninth session, recalling that the other four members, whose periods of tenure expire in 1989, are the representatives of New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines and VietNam; 2. THANKS the representatives of Australia, China, Cook Islands, Japan, Samoa and the United States of America for their services to the Sub-Committee. Ninth meeting, 16 September 1988
