ARBOVIRUS SURVEILLANCE IN THE WESTERN PACIFIC N ew H ebrides. — An outbreak of dengue-like illness began in the week ending 28 April 1980. One week later four out of 100 suspected cases were confirmed in the laboratory. Dengue type 4 was identified. The outbreak was subsiding the following week.

SURVEILLANCE DES ARBOVIRUS DANS LE PACIFIQUE OCCIDENTAL N ouvelles-H ébrides. — Une flambée d ’affections évoquant la dengue a commencé au cours de la semaine se terminant le 28 avril 1980. Une semaine plus tard, quatre des 100 cas suspects ont été confirmés au laboratoire. La dengue type 4 a été identifiée. La flambée s’est atténuée au cours de la semaine suivante.
