Licensing (Amendment) Act 1985 (repealed)

Section 70 (enabling orders for extended hours to be made with respect to premises providing entertainment) and section 76 (as to permitted hours where special hours certificate in force) of the Licensing Act 1964 shall be amended as follows.

In subsection (2) of section 70 the words " except on Good Friday, Maundy Thursday or Easter Eve " and the words " but shall not be affected on Good Friday, and shall on Maundy Thursday and Easter Eve extend until midnight" shall be omitted.

In subsection (2) of section 76 the words " other than Good Friday" and, in paragraph (a) of that subsection, the words " on Maundy Thursday and Easter Eve and " shall be omitted.

This Act may be cited as the Licensing (Amendment) Act 1985.

This Act does not extend to Scotland or Northern Ireland.
