<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-1-7"><num>(7)</num><intro>A person appointed to the panel under <ref href="#section-1-1">subsection (1)</ref> or <ref href="#section-1-3">(3)</ref>—</intro><level class="para1" eId="section-1-7-a"><num>(a)</num>

<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-1-b"><num>(b)</num><content>in the light of that review, publish a strategy, to be known as a “supported housing strategy”, for the provision of supported exempt accommodation in its district.</conten

<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-2"><num>(2)</num><intro>A local housing authority—</intro><level class="para1" eId="section-2-2-a"><num>(a)</num><content>must comply with <ref href="#section-2-1">subsection (1)</ref> before such date as m

<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-3"><num>(3)</num><intro>A supported housing strategy must, in particular, include—</intro><level class="para1" eId="section-2-3-a"><num>(a)</num><intro>the local housing authority’s assessment of—</intr

<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-3-a"><num>(a)</num><intro>the local housing authority’s assessment of—</intro><level class="para2" eId="section-2-3-a-i"><num>(i)</num><content>the current availability of supported exempt accommod

<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para2" eId="section-2-3-a-i"><num>(i)</num><content>the current availability of supported exempt accommodation in its district, and</content></level>

<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para2" eId="section-2-3-a-ii"><num>(ii)</num><content>the likely need for supported exempt accommodation in its district during the period of five years beginning with the date on which the strategy is published;</content>

<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-3-b"><num>(b)</num><content>such other matters as may be specified in regulations made by the Secretary of State.</content></level>

<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-5"><num>(5)</num><content>A local housing authority in England must have regard to its supported housing strategy in the exercise of its functions.</content></subsection>

<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-6"><num>(6)</num><intro>A social services authority in England must, in the exercise of its social services functions—</intro><level class="para1" eId="section-2-6-a"><num>(a)</num><content>where it is also

<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-6-a"><num>(a)</num><content>where it is also a local housing authority, have regard to its supported housing strategy, or</content></level>

<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-6-b"><num>(b)</num><content>in any other case, have regard to the supported housing strategy of each local housing authority in respect of whose district it is the social services authority.</content>

<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-7-b"><num>(b)</num><content>applicable to specified descriptions of local housing authorities or social services authorities,</content></level>

<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-8"><num>(8)</num><content>A local housing authority or a social services authority must have regard to any guidance issued under <ref href="#section-2-7">subsection (7)</ref> that is applicable to it.</content

<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-9"><num>(9)</num><content>A statutory instrument containing regulations under this section is subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.</content></subsection>
