In the British Nationality Act 1981, after section 50A insert—

The provision inserted by subsection (1) is treated as always having had effect.
Extent and short title
subsection section-2-1
This Act extends to England and Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, and the British overseas territories.

This Act may be cited as the British Nationality (Regularisation of Past Practice) Act 2023.
