'Of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Developmeint were signed on behalf or Ceylon today by Mr. w. D. Guneratna, Cherg6 d'Affaires ad interim of the Ceylon Embassy in Washington. Ceylon's quota in the International Monetary F~d is ~~15,.ooo,ooo and '. • its subscrj.ption to the capital stock of the Bank is 150 shares with a · total par value of ~t1s.,ooo,ooo. There are now 49 member countries or the Fund and of the Bank. Ceylon's adherence to the Fund and to the Bank occurs in time for that country tQ be represented at the Annual Meeting of the Boards of Governors of the two institutions., which opens at Paris on September 6. The Honorable J~ R. Jayawardene, Ceylon Minister of Finance, will be seated as Ceylon's Governor on \",he Boards of both the Fu.11d and the Bank. Mr, John Exter, Governor of the Central Bank of Ceylon, will serve as Alternate Governor on the Board of the Fund. His Excellency, G•. c. s. Corea, Ambassador o£ Ceylon in Wash:lngton, will be Alternate Govel"nor on the Board of the International Bank • •
