Fathallah Oualalou Minister of Economy and Finance Ministry of Economy and Finance Rabat Kingdom of Morocco Re: IDF Grant No. TF027209 (Social Policy Coordination and Implementation Grant) Amendment to the Grant Letter-Agreement Excellency: We refer to the Grant Letter-Agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco (the Recipient) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) for the above-captioned Grant, dated August 5, 1998 (the Grant Agreement), and to your requests dated December 16, 1998 and March 9, 1999, on the subject of amending the said Grant Agreement. We are pleased to inform you that the Bank has acceded to the above requests and, therefore, proposes to amend paragraph 1 of the Annex to read as follows: 1. "The Activities for which the Grant is given are as follows: (a) provision of technical assistance and organization of workshops and seminars to assist MSD in the following areas: employment promotion policies, restructuring of the "Entraide Nationale", social protection policies and safety net programs; and (b) provision of technical assistance for improving the analytical capacities of a core unit (Task-force) within MSD to formulate and implement strategies and action plans in the areas mentioned above in (a). All the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement, as amended hereby, shall remain in full force and effect. Please confirm your official agreement to the foregoing, as the Recipient
