Washington, D.C. 20433 United States of America Re: Credit No. 2874 GUI (Mining Sector Investment Promotion Project) ANAIM Study under Paragraph 5 (b) of Schedule 4 of the Development Credit Agreement Dear Sirs: With reference to the ANAIM study captioned above, we are pleased to confirm hereby that the Republic of Guinea (the Borrower) shall carry out by June 30, 1997 a study, under terms of reference and conditions satisfactory to the Association, aimed at assessing the mission and the efficiency of the Agence Nationale d'Amenagement des Infrastructures Minieres (ANAIM) with a view to enhancing the Borrower's attractiveness for new investments in the mining sector. The Borrower shall further: (a) submit the results and recommen- dations of the study referred to above to the Association, as soon as they become available, for its review and comments; (b) take into account the comments and recommendations made thereupon by the Asso- ciation; and (c) implement in accordance with the provisions of para- graph 7 (c) of Schedule 4 to the Development Credit Agreement any recommendations stemming from the said study as agreed upon between the Borrower and the Association.
