We also refer to the request made through a letter dated May 25, 2000 from Mr. Abhas K. Jha, Deputy Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Government of India, requesting the Association and the Bank to utilize two million, nine hundred sixty thousand United States Dollars (US$2,960,000) of the Project savings of twenty million United States Dollars (US$20,000,000) to finance some additional activities, and to cancel ten million United States Dollars (US$10,000,000) effective from June 13, 2000.
