The Minister of Planning July 1, 1992 and Regional Development Ministry of Planning and Regional Development Place Ali Zouanoui Tunis Republic of Tunisia Re: Loan No. 2911 TUN (Second Small and Medium Scale Industry Development Project Amendment of the Loan Agreement Dear Sir: We refer to the Loan Agreement (Second Small and Medium Scale Industry Development Project) between the Republic of Tunisia (the Borrower) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank), dated April 13, 1988. We also refer to the telefax to the Bank, dated January 22, 1992, from the Director, Agence de promotion de l’Industrie, requesting a reallocation of the proceeds of the Loan from Category (2) (b) to Category (2) (c). We are pleased to inform you that the Bank, after due consideration, has agreed to the above request. Accordingly, the Loan Agreement is hereby amended to read as follows: The table in paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 is amended to read as follows: Amount of the Loan Allocated % of (Expressed in Expenditures Category Dollar Equivalent to be Financed (1) Sub-loans 27,500,000 (a) works 60% (b) goods 100% of foreign expenditures and 70% of local expenditures (2) Technical assistance for Part B.1 of the Project: (a) goods 240,000 100% of foreign expenditures and 70% of local expenditures (b) consultants 130,000 100% of foreign expenditures and 75% of local expenditures (c) training 130,000 100% of foreign expenditures _____________ TOTAL 28,000,000 = = = = = = = All the terms and conditions of the Loan Agreement, as amended hereby, shall remain in full force and effect. Please confirm your agreement with the foregoing amendment by signing and dating the confirmation on the enclosed copy of this letter and returning it to us.
