Environmental ManagementProject - PNGT Credit 2229-BUR We refer to the above-mentioned Development Credit Agreement (the Agreement) between Burkina Faso (the Borrower) and the International Development (the Association), dated May 15, 1991, and discussions held with your Ministry during the mid-term review of the Project in 1995, which resulted in your requesting certain changes to the Agreement. We are pleased to confirm the Association's approval of the request and therefore agree to amend the Agreement as follows: 1. Schedule 1 to the Agreement: The percentage of financing of expenditures under Category 5, Incremental Operating Costs, has been increasedfrom 60% to 80%. The table in paragraph (1) is deleted and replaced by the table setforth in the Annex hereto; 2. Schedule 2 to the Agreement: In Part C the words: "in 18 selected provinces" are deleted. 3. Schedule 5 to the Agreement: In paragraph (1) (c) the amount US$700,000 is replaced by the amount US$815,000. 4. Schedule 6 to the Agreement: The word "and" is deleted at the end of paragraph (3) and added to the end of paragraph (2); paragraph (4) is deleted. All other provisions of the Development Credit Agreement as amended herein shall remain in force. Please indicate your agreement with the foregoing amendment by signing and dating the confirmation form on the attached copy of this letter and returning it to us, while keeping the original for your records. This amendment will become effective as of the date of confirmation of your agreement as indicated hereafter.
