Fernando Romero Moreno Minister of Planning and Coordination Ministry of Planning and Coordination Avenida Arce No. 2147 La Paz - Bolivia Re: Economic Management Strengthening Operation Project Credit No. 1977-BO Dear Mr. Minister: Please refer to the Development Credit Agreement dated January 4, 1989 (hereinafter the "Agreement") executed by and between the International Development Association and the Republic of Bolivia for the above-referenced project. The purpose of this letter is to amend certain provisions of the Agreement, as follows: 1. The typographical error in the fourth line of Section 2.01 of the Agreement is hereby corrected and said line is amended to read "million seven hundred thousand dollars ($9,700,000)". 2. The dollar sign ($) appearing before the total amount of the Credit at the bottom of the table set forth in paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 to the Agreement is deleted and said amount is amended to read "7,200,000". 3. Paragraph 4 of Schedule 1 to the Agreement is hereby amended to read as follows: "4. Notwithstanding the allocation of an amount of the Credit and of the Swiss Contribution, or the disbursement percentages set forth in the table in paragraph 1 above, the disbursement percentage for Category (4) shall be reduced to: (a) 90% once the aggregate amount of disbursements made under such Category shall have reached the amount of SDR 1,000,000; and (b) 70% once the aggregate amount of disbursements made under such Category shall have reached the amount of SDR 1,300,000." 4. The footnote appearing below Section 6.05 of the Agreement, which footnote reads "90 days after the date of this Agreement", is hereby deleted. Please confirm your agreement to the foregoing by signing and duly dating the enclosed duplicate of this amendment letter in the space below and returning that duplicate to us.
