.._J • For Immediate Release -·--- Joint Press Re1ease ..--- INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND and INTERNATIONAL BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PRESS Fund Press Release No. 279 SUBJECT: Morocco joins Bank Press Release No. 530 Fund and Bank April 25, 1958 Morocco today became a member of the International Monetary Fund and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development when the Articles of Agreement of these institutions were signed in Washington on behalf of the Government of Morocco by His Excellency Dr. El-Mehdi Ben Aboud, ,~ Ambassador for Morocco in the United States. The quota of Morocco in the International Monetary Fund is $35 million and its subscription to the capital stock of the Bank is 350 shares with a total par value of $35 million. Sixty-seven nations are now members of the Fund and Bank. Admission of Morocco brought the total of members' quotas in the Fund to $9,088,000,000. The total subscribed capital of the Bank is now $9,405,4oo,ooo . •
