For Imediate Release Joint Press Release INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FTND and INTERNATIONAL BAfK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PRESS Fund Press Release No. 265 SUBJECT: Ghana joins Bank Press Release No. 502 Fund and Bank September 20, 1957. Ghana today became a member of the International Monetary And and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development when the Articles of Agreement of these institutions were signed in Washington on behalf of the Government of Ghana by His Excellency K.A. Gbedemah, Minister of Finance of Ghana. The quota of Ghana in the International Monetary Fund is $15 million and its subscription to the capital stock of the Bank is 150 shares with a total par value of $15 million. Sixty-four nations are now members of the Fund and Bank. Admission of Ghana brought the total of members' quotas in the Fund to $9,006,ooo,ooo. The total subscribed capital of the Bank is now $9,333,40.,OOO.
