Over the past six months project implementation has been further advanced, notably with respect to therehabilitation ofthe Mwea Irrigation Scheme, a number of critical consultancies Public Disclosure Copy (e.g. the recharge Study for KikuyuSprings),rehabilitation ofdegraded forest areas and the implementation of Vulnerable and Marginalized Groups Plans. On the other hand, continuous delays inprocurement and contract management in the Water Resource and Irrigation sectors have negatively affecteddisbursement as well asoverall likelihood to implement all activities according to the approved work plans. Elgon and Cherangany Hills, including the implementation of Vulnerable and Marginalized Group Plans, establishing and operationalize an Inter-Ministerial Task Force on land tenure and legacy related issues.
