I. General 1. Project information: The World Bank approved a loan and Global Environment Facility (GEF) grant to the Government of the People's Republic of China (GOC) for the China Renewable Energy Scale-up Program (CRESP) (LN 4792-CHA, 2005 and TF054833), which includes a large wind technology improvement activity. The program is managed by the CRESP Project Management Office (PMO) of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Project Implementation Agency on behalf of GOC. 2. Bank
