IN COMPILING THE INFECTED AREA LIST Bleed on the International Health Refutations (1969) the following entent an used in comprime and maintaining the infected area list (only official governnwpttl jj ]Uftd)t L An area is entered in the list on receipt of information of' (0 a declaration of infection under Article 3; 09 the first Casa of plague, cholera, yellow fever or smallpox that is neither an importad case nor a transferred case, (in) plague infection among domestic or wild rodents, (tv) activity of yellow-fever virus m vertebrates other than nun using one of the following criteria (a) the discovery of the specific lesions of yellow fever in the liver of vertebrates indigenous to the ares, or (b) the isolation of yellow-fever virus from any indigenous vertebrates H An ana is deleted from the list on receipt of infoimation as follows (9 if tba area was declared infected (Article 3), it is deleted from the list on receipt of a daclaranon under Article 7 that the area is free from infection. CRITÈRES APPLIQUÉS POUR LA COMPILATION DE LA LISTE DES ZONES INFECTÉES Conformément au Rèflemenl sanitaire International (1969) let critères sui vants sont appliqués pour la compilation et la mue a jour de la liste des zones infectées (seules sont ntii«*»« les informations officielles émanant des gouverne ments) L Une zone est porté* sur la liste lorsque l'Organisation a reçu: (9 une déclaration d’infection, aux ferma da l’article 3, (u) notification d’un premier cas de peste, de choléra, de fièvre jaune ou de variole qui n’est m un e u importé m un cas transféré, (ui) notification d* la présance da la pâte chez tes rongeurs domestiqua et chez tes rongeurs sauvages, (iv) notification de 1’açuvué du virus tmanl chez des vertébrés autres que l’homme, déterminée p u l'application de l’un d a catéras suivants. a) découverte d a lésions spéafiqua de la fièvre jaune dans 1* foie de vertébrés de 1a faune indigene du territoire ou de la zone, on b) isolement du virus da la fièvre jaune chez n'importe quel vertébré de la faune indigène H L a zona sont radiées de la liste dans tea conditions suivantes: 9 si la zone a été déclarée infectée (arada 3), elle est radié* de la liste lors que l’Organisation reçoit une notification faite en application da l’aructe 7, suivant laquelle la zone a t indemne d'infection. Si l'on dispose da ren seignements indiquant que la zone n’a pas été indemne d'infection pen dant une période correspondant a 1a durée indiquée dans l’arucle 7 , 1a notification prévue p u l’aructe 7 n’est pas publiée, la zone reste sur la liste et l'administration sanitaire intéressée a t priée de donna d a éclair cissements quant a la sttuauon exacte, u) si la zone a été portée sur la liste pour d a raisons autres que la réception de 1a nouficauon prévue p u l'arudc 3 (voir I. u) à iv) «-dessus). elle a t radiée de la liste lorsque des rapports hebdomadaires négatifs ont été reçus pendant une période dont la durée eu indiquée a l'article 7 A défaut de tels rapports, la zone eu radié* d* la liste lorequa, au ferma de la période indiquée à l'article 7, l'Organuatun reçoit une notification d'exemption d'infection (trad* 7).
