INFLUENZA SURVEILLANCE ( 11 December 1984). — A case of influenza A has been diagnosed by immunofluorescence testing in a child, hospitalized m Pans. Isolation o f the virus is in progress for further identifica­ tion. S w e d e n (9 December 1984). — A sporadic case of influenza B has been confirmed through virus isolation. T r i n i d a d a n d T o b a g o (12 December 1984). —1 An outbreak of influenza B has been spreading in Tnnidad since early Sep­ tember. Patients have been seen in ages ranging from 9 months to 61 years. Two patients, aged 17 months and 15 years, showed signs of CNS involvement. F rance

SURVEILLANCE DE LA GRIPPE (11 décembre 1984). — Un cas de grippe A a été diagnostiqué par épreuve d’immunofluorescence chez un enfant hospitalisé à Pans. L’isolement du virus est en bonne voie d’identification. F rance S u è d e (9 décembre 1984). — Un cas sporadique de grippe B a été confirmé par isolement du virus. T r i n i t é - e t - T o b a g o (12 décembre 1984). —1Une poussée de gnppe B s’étend depuis le début septembre. On a vu des patients dont les âges se situaient entre 9 mois et 61 ans. Deux patients, de 17 et 15 ans, ont montré des signes d’atteinte du SNC.
