PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE RULES OF PROCEDURE OF THE REGIONAL COMMITTEE AND NEW TERMS OF REFERENCE OF THE PROGRAMME SUBCOMMITTEE (Document AFR/RC63/5) The Regional Committee, Having considered the Report of the Regional Director on Proposed Changes to the Rules of Procedure of the Regional Committee and New Terms of Reference of the Programme Subcommittee (Document AFR/RC63/5); Taking into account Decision WHA65 (9) by which the Sixty-fifth World Health Assembly called for harmonization of the rules and practices of the Regional Committees within the context of the WHO reform; Noting that the proposed changes to the terms of reference of the Programme Subcommittee aim to strengthen its oversight functions in accordance with Article 50 of the WHO Constitution and in the spirit of the WHO reform; 1. 2. 3. APPROVES the proposed amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the Regional Committee; ENDORSES the new terms of reference of the Programme Subcommittee; DECIDES that the amended Rules of Procedure of the Regional Committee and the new Terms of Reference of the Programme Subcommittee shall enter into force at the end of the Sixty-third session of the Regional Committee.
AFR/RC63/R2 5 de Setembro de 2013 COMITÉ REGIONAL AFRICANO Sexagésima terceira sessão Brazzaville, República do Congo, 2–6 de Setembro de 2013 ORIGINAL: INGLÊS ALTERAÇÕES PROPOSTAS AO REGULAMENTO INTERNO DO COMITÉ REGIONAL E NOVO MANDATO DO SUBCOMITÉ DO PROGRAMA (Documento AFR/RC63/5) Tendo considerado o Relatório do Director Regional sobre as alterações propostas ao Regulamento Interno do Comité Regional e novo mandato do Subcomité do Programa (AFR/RC/63/5); Tendo em conta a Decisão WHA65(9), através da qual a sexagésima quinta Assembleia da Saúde apelava à harmonização dos regulamentos e práticas dos Comités Regionais dentro do contexto da reforma da OMS; Notando que as alterações propostas ao mandato do Subcomité do Programa têm por objectivo o reforço das suas funções de supervisão, ao abrigo do artigo 50.º da Constituição da OMS e no espírito da reforma da OMS; O Comité Regional, 1. APROVA as emendas propostas ao Regulamento Interno do Comité Regional; 2. SUBSCREVE o novo mandato do Subcomité do Programa; 3. DECIDE que o Regulamento Interno do Comité Regional emendado e o novo mandato do Subcomité do Programa deverá entrar em vigor no fim da sexagésima terceira sessão do Comité Regional.
