RESOLVl'ION CF APPRECIATION
The Regional Committee EXPRESSES its appreciation and thanks to: (1) the Government and people of China for: (a) having invited the Regional Committee to hold its
eighteenth session in Taipei, (b) (c) the excellent arrangements and facilities provided, the interesting field visits enabling representa-
tives to see some of the country's achievementsj (2) His Excellency Mr Chia-lcan Yen, the Vice-President and
Prime Minister, and His Excellency Mr Ching-chung Hau, the Minister of the Interior, for having honoured the Committee with their presence at the opening cerelIlDnyj (3) His Excellency the Minister of the Interior, Governor

the United Nations Development Programme, the South Pacific Commission, and the non-governmental organizations who made statements;

the Director-General and Assistant Director-General for
the honour of their visit and their invaluable advice; (10) the .Regional Director, the WHO Representative and the
