<, RF..G IONAL COMMITTEE Sixth Session Singapore 13-19 September 1955 \f ,RC6/21 Bev. 1 Page -31 wP/RJ6.Rl9 16 September 1955 THE INTj~GRATION OF FIELD PROJECTS IN LONG-TERH HFli.LTH PLfi.NNING The Regional Committee, Realizing that integration of field projects in long-term planning has not always been fully worked out; Knowing the importance of careful integration of field projects in long-term health planning at all levels, particularly as it concerns the full utilization of assistance from WHO and the attainment of the objectives set forth by the government concerned; BelievinG that the responsibility for the planning and implementa- tion of this integration is with the government concerned, but that WHO could be of great assistance in stimulating and effecting such integration; URGES Member States to endeavour to make adequate plans for integration in all aspects of long-term field projects before such projects are started; and REQUESTS the Regional Director to provide, through existing channels, such assistance as may be needed by Member States in the planning and implementation of integration.
