GRIPPE R oumanie (information en date du 9 octobre 1971) — Une poussée d’affections d’allure grippale s’est produite a Sibru et Brasov et dans les districts environnants; elle a attemt principale­ ment les adultes d’âge moyen, mais on -a signalé de nombreuses poussées familiales Cinq souches de virus A2 furent isolées Suisse (information en date du 29 septembre 1971) —■ 1 En août et septembre, une flambée localisée de grippe a été constatée dans une region proche de Berne On observa d’abord des cas spora­ diques au début du mois d’août Ensuite, à partir du 15 août, un certain nombre de foyers limités se manifestèrent, affectant aussi bien les adultes que les enfants On a isole chez des malades six souches de virus A2/Hong Kong/68 proches du prototype A2/Hong Kong/1/68 1 Voir N " 16, p 157 cl 17, p 161

Romania (information dated 9 October 1971) — An outbreak of influenza-like illness has occurred in Stbm and Brasov and in the surrounding districts Adults in the age-group 25-59 were mostly affected, but many family outbreaks were observed Five strains of virus A2 were isolated Switzerland (information dated 29 September 1971) —1 In August and September, a localized influenza outbreak occurred in an area close to Berne Sporadic cases were first reported m early August and then, beginning on 15 August, a number of limited foci were observed, affecting both adults and children
