REPORT OF THE REGIONAL COMMITTEE 33 DECISIONS WPRlRC47(1) BUDGET PERFORMANCE 1994-1995 The Regional Committee, having considered the final report of the Regional Director on budget performance for the biennium 1994-1995 1, and having noted with satisfaction the complete implementation of the programme budget in financial terms, agreed to support the Regional Director and the Secretariat in seeking to maintain a reasonable level of programme implementation despite declining available resources and rising costs. (Third Meeting, 10 September 1996) WPRlRC47(2) REGIONAL PRIORITIES The Regional Committee, having discussed the Report of the Regional Director on the Work of WHO in the Western Pacific Region for the period I July 1995 to 30 June 19962, and the proposed programme budget for 1998-19993 decided to increase the number of regional priorities from six to seven, including "Management and control of new, emerging and re-emerging diseases", as the seventh.
