GASTROENTERITIS P h il ippin es . — During the four-week period 28 January to 24 February 1973, a total of 1 032 cases of gastroenteritis were reported During the first week 199 cases were notified; the incidence appreciably increased during the second week (270 cases) and was more than double the five-year median of 121 cases. Of the 258 cases reported during the third week, 60% were res idents of Manila. The incidence peaked during the fourth week when 305 cases were notified.
GASTRO-ENTÉRITE P h il ippin es . — Pour la période de quatre semaines allant dv 28 janvier au 24 février 1973, il a été notifié au total 1032 cas de gastro-entérite, dont 199 pendant la première semaine. Avec 270 cas, l’mcidence s’est notablement accrue pendant la deuxième semaine pour atteindre plus du double de la valeur médiane des cinq dernières années (121 cas). Sur les 258 cas notifiés pendant la troisième semaine, 60% se sont déclarés chez des résidents de Manille. Avec 305 cas notifiés, l’incidence a atteint un maximum pendant la quatrième semaine.
