A technical briefing presenting an overview and highlights of health in Australia will be held on Wednesday, 24 September, at 2 p.m. The technical briefing will outline innovative approaches to major challenges in health care provision in Australia and their wider relevance and potential application in the Region. new epidemics as an example to be presented by Dr George Rubin • Public health partnerships: Governments and communities in public health to be presented by Dr Vivian Lin In 1995, the Regional Committee adopted resolution WPRlRC46.R I I, which noted the Committee's "will to explore, on an experimental basis, alternative methods to the present Technical Discussions for conveying appropriate information to Member States". It accordingly resolved "to arrange technical briefings on appropriate subjects, in lieu of the Technical Discussions, in close coordination with the host countries for the Regional Committee at its forty-seventh and forty-eighth sessions".
