— 677 — DÉSINSECTISATION DES AÉRONEFS PAR AÉROSOLS 1 La communication suivante a été reçue de l’administration sani taire des Etats-Unis d’Amérique: «Vu les preuves de l’apparition d’une résistance au DDT chez les moustiques et d’autres insectes, et la recommandation faite récemment par le Gouvernement des Etats-Unis au sujet de l’emploi du DDT, nous nous proposons de cesser d ’appliquer le plus tôt possible les dispositions relatives à l’emploi d ’une préparation insecticide en aérosol contenant du DDT. « Nous envisageons de recommander pour la désinsectisation des aéronefs arrivant aux Etats-Unis, en lieu et place des préparations G-382, G-651, G-1029 et G-1152, une préparation insecticide en aérosol ne contenant pas de DDT. Cette préparation nouvelle, désignée G-1707, a été soumise à des épreuves rigoureuses d’effica cité et d ’innocuité. DISINSECTING OF AIRCRAFT WITH AEROSOLS1
The following communication has been received from the health administration of the United States of America: “In view of documented evidence of DDT resistance in mosquitos and other insects and the recent recommendation o f our govern ment on the use of DDT in the United States, we propose to discontinue as soon as possible the requirement of an insecticidal aerosol containing DDT. “ We plan to approve an insecticidal aerosol containing no DDT to replace G-382, G-651, G-1029 and G-1152 for use in disinsecting aircraft arriving in the United States. The proposed new formula tion is known as G-1707 and has been carefully tested for effectiveness and safety. It will be published in the Federal Register.
