The London Conference also agreed that the W HO Regional Committee for Europe should appoint five country representatives and that membership of the EEHC should be for a two- year period, with a possibility of reappointment once. The forty-ninth session of the Regional Committee should therefore appoint five members to the EEHC. The Regional Director, in his letter of 26 April 1999, invited Member States to submit nominations for membership of the EEHC by 16 July 1999. This document contains the curricula vitae of candidates nominated by the governments o f Hungary, Ireland, K yrgyzstan, Turkey and the United Kingdom, which were received at the Regional Office by 16 July 1999. It will be recalled that representatives of Finland, Hungary, Netherlands and the United Kingdom previously held membership of the EEHC.
