Regional Committee for Europe 73rd session Astana, Kazakhstan, 24–26 October 2023 EUR/RC73/CONF./2 21 September 2023 | 230581 ORIGINAL: ENGLISH Provisional agenda item 5 Roadmap on antimicrobial resistance for the WHO European Region 2023–2030 Draft decision The Regional Committee, (PP1) Having considered the roadmap on antimicrobial resistance for the WHO European Region 2023–2030,1 which was developed through consultation with Member States in the WHO European Region; (OP1) ENDORSES the roadmap on antimicrobial resistance for the WHO European Region 2023–2030; (OP2) URGES Member States, at national and, as appropriate, subnational level, to employ the antimicrobial resistance (AMR) Compass which aims to take stock of the capacity of national AMR stakeholders to implement the action areas and enablers for tackling AMR, reach consensus on national priority actions, set national targets and measure progress;2 (OP3) REQUESTS the Regional Director: (a) to guide Member States on the prioritizing of, and setting of targets for, high-impact interventions of the roadmap on antimicrobial resistance for the WHO European Region 2023–2030; (b) to develop a monitoring, evaluation and accountability framework based on the targets set for this roadmap, to be presented to the Regional Committee at its 74th session in 2024; and (c) to report to the Regional Committee through a midterm report at its 77th session in 2027 and through a final report at its 80th session in 2030. = = = 1 Document EUR/RC73/7. 2 Document EUR/RC73/INF./1.
