The Executive Board, 1. NOMINATES, pursuant to Article 31 of the Constitution, Dr Margaret Chan for the post of Director-General of the World Health Organization; 2. SUBMITS this nomination to the First special session of the World Health Assembly. (Fifth meeting, 8 November 2006)
