VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS Pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj) Saudi Arabia. — The requirements, for the forthcoming Hajj season are as follows: 1. All travellers arriving from a country, any part of which is endemic for yellow fever, are required to produce a valid yellow fever vaccinauon certificate, in accordance with the country’s normal req uirements.Travellers arriving in Saudi Arabia without the required certificate will be vaccinated on arrival and placed under stria surveillance for 6 days from the day of vaccination, but freedom of movement will be permitted. 2. In addition to the above, pilgrims and “Umra” performers are required to produce a certificate of vaccination against menin gococcal meningitis issued not more than 2 years and not less thanlO days before arrival in Saudi Arabia. Health authorities of countries from which pilgrims and “Umra” performers are arriving should ensure that they are in possession of this vac cination certificate before their departure for Saudi Arabia.
