جائزة بحوث متالزمة داون لعام
ِ رض منح جائزة إىل شخص .1أُنشئت مؤسسة جائزة حبوث متالزمة داون يف إقليم شرق املتوسط عام ،1999بغََ َّموا إسهامات بارزة يف جمال البحوث ذات الصلة مبتالزمة داون ،وتقدمي منحة إىل شخص واحد واحد أو أكثر ممن قد أو أكثر إلجراء حبوث يف اجملال ذاته. .2وعقدت جلنة مؤسسة جائزة البحوث يف جمال متالزمة داون اجتماعها احلادي عشر يف الدورة الثانية الستني قررت جلنة مؤسسة اجلائزة أن أحداً للّجنة اإلقليمية لشرق املتوسط اليت انعقدت يف تشرين األول/أكتوبر ،2015وفيه َّ ِ ِّح وقررت جلنة مؤسسة اجلائزة أيضاً أن تنق ـمنح اجلائزةَّ . من املرشحني مل يستوف احلد األدىن من الدرجات املطلوبة ل َ معايري االختيار .وقد عرضت األمانة التغيريات املقرتحة على أعضاء جلنة مؤسسة اجلائزة للتصديق عليها .وسوف قحة .وسوف تَ ِ عقد جلنة مؤسسة اجلائزة من ّ تَ ُ صدر دعوة لتقدمي الرتشيحات يف عام ،2017استناداً إىل املعايري الـ ُ َّجنة اإلقليمية لشرق املتوسط يف تشرين األول/أكتوبر 2017 اجتماعها الثاين عشر إبان انعقاد الدورة الرابعة والستني لل َّتها. للنظر يف الرتشيحات اليت تلق

1. The Down Syndrome Research Prize Foundation in the Eastern Mediterranean Region was established in 1999. The Foundation was established for the purpose of awarding a prize to one or more persons who have made an outstanding contribution in the field of research related to Down Syndrome and a grant to one or more persons for research to be undertaken in the same field. 2. At its eleventh meeting, which was held during the 62nd session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean in October 2015, the Foundation Committee for the Down Syndrome Research Prize decided that none of the nominees met the minimum score required for the award. The Foundation Committee also decided to revise the criteria for selection. Proposed changes have been shared by the Secretariat with the members of the Foundation Committee for endorsement. A call for nominations will be issued in 2017 based on the revised criteria. The Foundation Committee will hold its twelfth meeting during the 64th session of the Regional Committee in October 2017 to consider nominations.

Prix de la Fondation pour la Recherche sur le Syndrome de Down pour 2017 1. Le Prix de la Fondation pour la Recherche sur le Syndrome de Down dans la Région de la Méditerranée orientale a été institué en 1999. La Fondation a été créée dans le but de décerner un prix à une ou plusieurs personnes ayant apporté une contribution exceptionnelle dans le domaine de la recherche sur le syndrome de Down ainsi qu’une subvention à une ou plusieurs personnes pour des travaux de recherche qui seront entrepris dans le même domaine. 2. Lors de sa onzième réunion, qui s’est tenue durant la soixante-deuxième session du Comité régional de la Méditerranée orientale en octobre 2015, le Comité de la Fondation pour le Prix pour la Recherche sur le Syndrome de Down a conclu qu’aucun des candidats dont la candidature avait été soumise en vue de l’attribution du Prix n’avait atteint le score minimum requis pour l’obtention du prix. Le Comité de la Fondation a également décidé de réviser ses critères de sélection. Le Secrétariat a communiqué les changements proposés aux membres du Comité de la Fondation pour approbation. Un appel à candidatures sera lancé en 2017 sur la base des critères révisés. Le Comité de la Fondation organisera sa douzième réunion pendant la soixante-quatrième session du Comité régional en octobre 2017 afin d’examiner les candidatures.
