Date and place of the 149th session of the Executive Board: report by the Director-General

EXECUTIVE BOARD EB148/42 148th session 15 January 2021 Provisional agenda item 19.6 Date and place of the 149th session of the Executive Board Report by the Director-General 1. Article 26 of the Constitution of WHO provides that “The Board shall meet at least twice a year and shall determine the place of each meeting.” Rule 5 of the Rules of Procedure of the Executive Board provides that the Board “shall determine at each session the time and place of its next session”. 2. It is proposed to convene the 149th session of the Executive Board on Wednesday, 2 June 2021, at WHO headquarters, Geneva. The Board may wish to consider making contingency arrangements in the event that limitations to physical meetings preclude the holding of the 149th session in June 2021 as envisaged. 3. An advance copy of the draft provisional agenda of the 149th session of the Executive Board is provided in the Annex, for the information of Member States. ACTION BY THE EXECUTIVE BOARD 4.
