Committee on Nominations First report

The Committee on Nominations, consisting of delegates of the following Member States: Bahrain, Brunei Darussalam, Burkina Faso, China (People’s Republic of), Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Estonia, France, Guyana, Israel, Mexico, Micronesia (Federated States of), Monaco, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Peru, Russian Federation, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Thailand, Tunisia, Uganda, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Uruguay and Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain (Bangladesh) (ex officio), met on 17 May 2004. In accordance with Rule 25 of the Rules of Procedure of the Health Assembly and respecting the practice of regional rotation that the Assembly has followed for many years in this regard, the Committee decided to propose to the Assembly the nomination of Mr Mohamed Nasir Khan (Pakistan) for the Office of President of the Fifty-seventh World Health Assembly.
