Work to be performed Further to the Memorandum for the African kogramme for Onchocerciasis Conrol (APOC), for pHASEIl (2002-2007) and the Phasing out Period (2008-2010) (the "Memorandurn"), which was endorsed by the Government of Nigeria, this Agreement is concluded for the purpose of developing and esrablishing sustainable communiry directed ivermectin distribution Project in the Plateau and Nassarawa Stares of Nigeria. The Pro.;ect named "NGPLN8" shall be carned out in accordance with rhe proposal submitted by the NOTF Nigeria in October 2006, reviewed and approved by the Management of APOC for strengthening rhe activities of rhe project. The Prb;ect shall be undertaken in 05 Local Government Areas in Plateau State (Bassa. Kanke. Pankshrn. Jos East and Bokkos) and rn 07 Local Government Areas in Nassarawa State (Eggon. Karu. Kokona. Lafia. Aksanca. \\'amba and Toto) of Nigeria. The equrpment and supplies furnished by WHO under this agreement wrll be handed over to thelnstltutron upon arrival at the port ofentry in the country, against appropnate receipts. 2.3. Audit of accounts wHo wtll retam funds for financtal audrt of the Project and shall have the right to inspect the accounrs arany tlme by ilay of rts internal auditors, its extemal auditors or other audrtors coniacted for the purpose. Theaudttors shall have the right to inspect all transactions pertaining to the projects behveen the Instrn-rtrm,s bankaccount and actual payments for goods and services and to examine supporting documentatron and relevanraccounting entrles rn the Institutior's books. In order to facrlitate such reportrng and audit, the Institutrorr shallensure that accurate and systematic accounts are kept in respect of the funded actirrihes. 3. For tts part, the Instlfuttcr, in agreement with its own Government, shall provide all the inputs required^ m the Government, the NGDOs andlther parhers, including all the staff necessary for the executron of thelect tn accordance wrth this Agreement and as set forth in itre Memorandum .ri in the approved pro-1ectproposal. 4. Thls Agreement covers a penod of l2 months from l" January 20o7 to3l,,Decemb er 2007. 5. Financial arrangements 5 l' The total amount of expenditure estimated by thrs Agreement is l-rs$ 64,600 (sixty four tbousandsix hundred dollars US)' of the "bou., us$ 50,000 (fifty thousand dollars US) rrrll be reramed by wHo/ApoCfor the purchase of equipment needed for the performante of the projecr acrivities. The pal,rnent of these replenishments will be subject to: (a) The reception of the statement mentroned above; b) The transmission at the end of each month of a copy of the bank statemm! reconciled wrth a hstof all cheques drawn on the account.
