Although episodes observed in November and December 1975 were few and were mostly associated with virus B (B/Hong Kong/5/ 72) in a number of countries, it appears that A/Port Chalmers-like strains have not been associated with outbreaks observed during these two months. Besides A/England/864/75 and A/Tokyo/1/75, which were only prevalent in their countries of origin, only A/Victoria/3/75 has been isolated in cases associated with virus A, which have occurred recently in Malaysia, Kwajalein, Hawaii, Jamaica, Chile and Finland.
