Amendments of Land Registration Act 1925.

Applications under sections 4 and 8 of the said Act (first registration of title) as respects land outside an area of compulsory registration shall not be entertained except in such classes of cases as the registrar may, by notice published in such way as appears to him appropriate, from time to time specify and in those cases the registrar may require the applicant under either of those sections to show that there are special considerations which make it expedient to grant the application.
In this subsection “area of compulsory registration” means an area as respects which an Order in Council made or having effect under the said section 120 is in force.

Citation, construction, repeals and commencement.
This Act may be cited as the Land Registration Act 1966 and the Land Registration Acts 1925 and 1936 and this Act may be cited together as the Land Registration Acts 1925 to 1966.
This Act shall be construed as one with the Land Registration Act 1925.

This Act shall come into force at the expiration of a period of one month beginning with the date on which it is passed.
