Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006
The Public Order Act 1986 (c. 64) is amended in accordance with the Schedule to this Act, which creates offences involving stirring up hatred against persons on religious grounds.
In section 24A of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (c. 60) (arrest without warrant by persons other than constables) after subsection (4) add—
This Act may be cited as the Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006.
This Act comes into force on such day as the Secretary of State may appoint by order made by statutory instrument.
An order under subsection (2) may make— as the Secretary of State considers appropriate in connection with the coming into force of this Act.

such transitory, transitional or saving provision,
This Act extends to England and Wales only.
