<section xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" xmlns:uk="https://www.legislation.gov.uk/namespaces/UK-AKN" xmlns:ukl="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/namespaces/legislation" eId="section-1"><num>1</num><heading>Compilation of rating lists</heading><subsection eId="section-1-1"><num>(1)</num><content>The Local Government Finance Act 1988 is amended as follows.</content></subsection><subsection eId="section-1-2"><num>(2)</num><intro>In section 41 (local non-domestic rating lists)—</intro><level class="para1" eId="section-1-2-a"><num>(a)</num><content><mod>in subsection (2A) (date on which English local rating lists must be compiled), in paragraph (b), after “2017” insert <quotedText>“ , on 1 April 2023 ”</quotedText>;</mod></content></level><level class="para1" eId="section-1-2-b"><num>(b)</num><content><mod>in subsection (5) (deadline for proposed list to be sent to billing authority), for “30 September” substitute <quotedText>“ 31 December ”</quotedText>.</mod></content></level></subsection><subsection eId="section-1-3"><num>(3)</num><intro>In section 52 (central non-domestic rating lists)—</intro><level class="para1" eId="section-1-3-a"><num>(a)</num><content><mod>in subsection (2A) (date on which English central rating lists must be compiled), in paragraph (b), after “2017” insert <quotedText>“ , on 1 April 2023 ”</quotedText>;</mod></content></level><level class="para1" eId="section-1-3-b"><num>(b)</num><content><mod>in subsection (5) (deadline for proposed list to be sent to Secretary of State or Welsh Ministers), for “30 September” substitute <quotedText>“ 31 December ”</quotedText>.</mod></content></level></subsection><subsection eId="section-1-4"><num><noteRef href="#key-08148b37627d73bea24f60cec89b7992" uk:name="commentary" ukl:Name="CommentaryRef" class="commentary"/>(4)</num><content>. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .</content></subsection></section>
