Space Industry (Indemnities) Act 2025

<section xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-1"><num>1</num><heading>Licence terms relating to indemnification of government etc</heading><intro><p>In the Space Industry Act 2018—</p></intro><level class="para1" eId="section-1-a"><num>(a)</num><content><p><mod>in section 12 (terms of licences), in subsection (2), for “may” substitute <quotedText>“must”</quotedText>;</mod></p></content></level><level class="para1" eId="section-1-b"><num>(b)</num><content><p><mod>in section 36 (obligation to indemnify government etc against claims), in subsection (3)(a), for “any” substitute <quotedText>“the”</quotedText>.</mod></p></content></level></section>
<section xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2"><num>2</num><heading>Extent, commencement and short title</heading><subsection eId="section-2-1"><num>(1)</num><content><p>This Act extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.</p></content></subsection><subsection eId="section-2-2"><num>(2)</num><content><p>The power under section 71(5) of the Space Industry Act 2018 may be exercised so as to extend to any of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or any British overseas territory any amendment made by this Act (with or without modifications).</p></content></subsection><subsection eId="section-2-3"><num>(3)</num><content><p>This Act comes into force at the end of the period of two months beginning with the day on which it is passed.</p></content></subsection><subsection eId="section-2-4"><num>(4)</num><content><p>This Act may be cited as the Space Industry (Indemnities) Act 2025.</p></content></subsection></section>
